The tradition of gifting panettone dates back to the Middle Ages in Milan, when families from all social classes would share a luxurious bread on Christmas Day as a symbol of unity. This 'large bread', or panettone is a gesture of generosity that is believed to bring luck and prosperity for the year ahead.
This year we are thrilled to offer two stunning panettoni developed by our new Head of R&D, Jonny Pisanelli. Jonny recently represented Australia at the prestigious Panettone World Championship, where the Australian team secured a bronze medal. His credentials also include winning multiple Australian panettone awards, most recently for Best Chocolate Panettone in Australia, which earned him his place on the world stage.
Our Classic Panettone is a celebration of timeless tradition, warmly scented with vanilla and studded with candied orange and soaked raisins.
